Customer Service & WhatsApp Support

Customer Service & WhatsApp Support

Fast, friendly, professional replies on the channels your customers actually use — WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and email — from a UK-trained assistant working UK hours, from £3 per hour.

Why Prompt, Multichannel Support Matters

Customers rarely announce that they have given up on you. They send a message, wait, and quietly go elsewhere. By the time you reply that evening, the enquiry that felt urgent at eleven in the morning has already been answered by somebody quicker.

The problem is not that businesses do not care. It is that enquiries now arrive everywhere at once — WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email, the website form, the phone — and they arrive while you are already doing the actual work. Nobody can serve a customer in front of them and monitor five inboxes at the same time.

Messaging has changed expectations in particular. A message feels like a conversation, and conversations have an expected rhythm. A reply after two days does not read as thorough; it reads as indifferent.

An Assistry virtual assistant covers those channels through the UK working day. Enquiries get a prompt, professional response in your tone of voice, routine questions are resolved without reaching you, and anything genuinely requiring your judgement lands on your desk clearly flagged rather than buried.

Channels We Cover

WhatsApp

The channel most UK customers reach for first. Enquiries answered promptly during the working day, in your tone of voice, with bookings and orders taken in the same conversation.

Instagram & Facebook

Direct messages, comment replies and story replies handled, so posts that perform actually convert instead of filling an unread inbox.

Email

Customer enquiries triaged and answered, with anything sensitive or unusual escalated to you rather than guessed at.

Live chat & web forms

Website enquiries picked up and answered within the working day, then logged so nothing is answered twice or lost.

Phone follow-up

Missed calls returned and voicemails cleared, where a phone line is set up for the purpose.

Reviews & public feedback

Google and social reviews acknowledged promptly and professionally, with negative feedback flagged to you immediately.

What Your Assistant Handles

Follow-Up & Retention

Your assistant works within the authority you set. Approved answers, clear escalation rules and defined limits are agreed before anyone replies to a single customer.

How It Works

Onboarding is about giving your assistant enough context to answer well and clear rules about when not to answer at all.

Most clients start with a tight scope and widen it once they have seen the quality of the replies. That is the sensible way round, and we will suggest it even if you are ready to hand over everything on day one.

Who It Is For

Customer support cover suits any UK business where enquiries arrive faster than someone can answer them:

Pricing & Plans

Our published rate is £3 per hour for full-time support of 40 or more hours per week.

Assistry — 40 hours per week
£120 / week
Across four weeks
£480
Typical UK freelance VA rate (market guide)
£20–£25 / hour

Against a typical UK freelance rate of around £20 per hour, our £3 rate represents roughly an 85% saving on the hourly cost. UK market rates vary considerably by experience and specialism, and those figures are general market guidance rather than rates we set.

Need fewer than 40 hours a week? Contact us for a custom quote and we will do our best to get as close to £3 per hour as the arrangement allows. Customer support is frequently combined with inbox management and diary management to make up a full role.

There are no long-term contracts. Arrangements are agreed weekly and scale with your volume. Full details are on our affordable virtual assistant plans page, and you can meet Daniel, the founder of Assistry, on his page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a customer service virtual assistant do?

Your assistant covers your inbound channels during UK business hours — WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook messages, email, live chat and web forms. They answer routine questions from approved information, process orders and bookings, chase outstanding matters, acknowledge complaints and escalate anything that needs you. The scope and escalation rules are agreed during onboarding.

Can my assistant use my business WhatsApp?

Yes. Access is set up through WhatsApp Business, which supports multiple linked devices, so your assistant can reply without needing your personal phone. Conversation history stays in your account and you retain full visibility of everything sent.

Will customers know they are speaking to an assistant?

That is your call. Most clients have the assistant reply as the business rather than as a named individual, which is standard practice for any customer service team. We will never claim your assistant is based in the UK, and we would advise against you doing so either.

How fast will enquiries be answered?

Response targets are agreed with you rather than fixed. Many businesses set a target of replying within around 30 minutes during working hours, which is realistic when an assistant is actively monitoring the channels through the UK business day.

How do you handle complaints?

Complaints are acknowledged promptly using approved wording, the details are logged, and the matter is escalated to you. Assistants do not make decisions on refunds, compensation or disputes unless you have specifically authorised a defined policy — for example, replacing a faulty item under a set value.

Can automation handle some of it?

Yes, and often it should. Tools such as ManyChat can send an instant first reply, answer common questions with approved responses and capture contact details, with anything more complex routed to your assistant. The principle we work to is simple: automate the answer everyone asks, and put a person on everything else.

What if my customers message outside working hours?

Your assistant works 9am to 5pm GMT or BST. Messages arriving outside those hours can receive an automated acknowledgement setting expectations, then be answered first thing. If you genuinely need evening or weekend cover, tell us during your consultation and we will be straight with you about what is realistic.

How much does it cost?

Our rate is £3 per hour for full-time support of 40 or more hours per week — £120 per week, or £480 across four weeks. For fewer hours we provide a custom quote and do our best to get as close to £3 per hour as possible. There are no long-term contracts.

How quickly can we start?

Onboarding can normally be completed within 48 hours. Founder Daniel Pozzebon personally handles onboarding, covering your products and services, tone of voice, approved responses, escalation rules and channel access before your assistant replies to anyone.
